Goldman Sachs launches GS AI Assistant across its global workforce to boost productivity, automate tasks, and enhance operational efficiency.

Goldman Sachs (GS.N) has officially launched its generative AI assistant across the entire company, aiming to enhance productivity and efficiency among its 10,000 employees, as reported by Reuters.

The internal memo, shared by Chief Information Officer Marco Argenti, confirms that the GS AI Assistant will help employees across various departments perform a range of tasks, from summarizing complex documents to drafting content and conducting data analysis.

The official launch follows an initial rollout, which saw about 10,000 employees already utilizing the tool.

This move aligns Goldman Sachs with other major financial institutions such as Citigroup, Morgan Stanley, and Bank of America, all of which are integrating AI into their operations to improve employee workflows and client interactions.

A Growing Trend in Banking AI Tools

According to Reuters, Goldman Sachs joins a growing list of banks leveraging AI technology to streamline operations.

Citigroup uses tools like Citi Assist for searching internal policies and Citi Stylus for document summarization. Morgan Stanley launched a chatbot to support financial advisors in interacting with clients, while Bank of America's virtual assistant Erica assists retail clients with routine transactions.

With the use of its AI assistant, Goldman Sachs is embarking on a bold move to improve daily operations, drive employee productivity, and eventually make the bank more operationally efficient.
